Sportsbet’s Deposit Limit feature is a simple and flexible way to limit your spending.
It restricts the amount of money you can transfer into your Sportsbet account, over a set period of time. You can choose both the dollar amount and time period that suits you.
Why set a Deposit Limit?
Using Deposit Limits effectively
How does it work?
You will need to set the amount of money you can afford to deposit into your Sportsbet account over a specific time period.
A Deposit Limit can be set for the following time periods: 24 hour, 7 day, 14 day, 30 day and 60 day periods.
How do I set or change it?
You can set or edit the amount of your Deposit Limit any time in the ‘My Account’ section of the Sportsbet app or website, under ‘Responsible Gambling’.
The amount of your Deposit Limit can be reduced at any time and the changes you make will be effective immediately.
If you wish to remove or increase your Deposit Limit, the changes will come into effect 7 days after the initial limit period.
An example
Using a budgeting tool, David knows the amount of money he needs to spend on essentials each week. This helps him calculate the maximum amount he can responsibly afford to bet with.
He sets his weekly Deposit Limit at this amount, and if he tries to deposit a total (the sum of all deposits during the period) above his limit, it will be rejected. This limit will ensure David is safeguarded against depositing more money than he had responsibly intended to.
