If you feel as if you’re spending too much time betting, taking time to stop and think could be just what you need.
Sportsbet’s Take a Break service lets you do just that, at any time.
How does it work?
By choosing Take a Break, you’ll exclude yourself from betting with us for a set period of time.
The break period options are:
- Short break (1-30 days)
- Long break (6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years)
Once we process your request, you won’t be able to end the exclusion period early.
How to take a break
Simply log in to your Sportsbet account, and in the Responsible Gambling section select ‘Take a Break’ for a short break, or ‘Long Term Exclusion’ for a period of 6 months or longer. Follow the steps to select your break end date.
Your pending bets will not be affected for Short breaks. However, pending bets will be cancelled for any long break.
If you would like to exclude yourself from betting with Sportsbet on a permanent basis, please get in touch and we can arrange this for you.
Sportsbet customers and non-customers can also self-exclude from NT licensed wagering operators by completing the NTRWC self-exclusion form and sending it to the NTRWC who will action the exclusion on their behalf.
Here's what people say
Permanent exclusion
If you have tried temporary breaks but they are not working for you, permanent exclusion from Sportsbet is available.
With permanent exclusion your Sportsbet account will be permanently closed, and where we can identify them, any attempts to open new accounts will be blocked. This type of request can’t be reversed.
To take this action you’ll need to contact us.
